During #milanfashionweek I already got to tell you numerous times that the highlight of my fashion week in Milan had to be going to MISSONI! And despite saying it out loud so many times already, I still cannot believe it happened and that I got to witness the amazing pieces being paraded across a waterlogged runway in person!

It has been a dream come true indeed! Missoni collection for Autumn/Winter 2018 is inspired by the late Seventies and early Eighties in New York; “a moment of joy, a moment of joyful positivity, an eclectic moment!” Angela Missoni fondly spoke about that carefree, boho and indulgent era with relaxed chic vibes. 

 

Mixing men and women for the second season in a row, MISSONI's collection is a celebration of long, layered silhouettes. Patchworks, fringes and prints left the audience with way more energy and enthusiasm than that anticipated! Lurex maxi dresses, stripes and sequin details and mixing of earthy and more vibrant tones added to the Seventies folkloric vibes. Velvet and leather were paraded on the runway by the men; cool attire incorporating some basic pieces but mostly overruled by a number of statement pieces, be it scarves, jumpers or accessories.
