It's probably best to admit that way before the commencement of the Mercedes-Benz Malta Fashion Week (see my post here), I knew I was going to love Charles & Ron collection because their collections have never disappointed me so far, more so when they launched their line of leather bags and accessories back in September of last year. And indeed, I was not let down yesterday night.
Exhibited at Fort St. Elmo, Charles & Ron Spring/Summer '15 collection - named "Humilissima Civitas"- was inspired by the Maltese Capital, the beautiful city of Valletta. As the models walked their way up and down the aisle, Charles & Ron works of art smiled back at us and reminded us of the splendour and magnificence of the new Parliament building and the Renzo Piano steps, Valletta's balconies, the Triton's Fountain and other abstract and symbolic designs. As for the colours, pastels (mints, light corals and pale pinks) dominated and cheered the crowd.
As usual, I'm including a number of photos I took throughout the night. You'll have to agree with me that Charles & Ron couldn't have incorporated Malta's capital city into their collection any better than this!
